DOT COMPLETE CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND H-1 HIGHWAY BETWEEN MIDDLE STREET OFFRAMP (EXIT 19A) AND INTERCHANGE KEEHI FOR FACILITY MARKING

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Division of Transportation (HDOT) is advising motorists in Oahu that each one lanes shall be closed on the H-1 westbound freeway between the Center Avenue ramp (Exit 19A) and Keehi Interchange on Sunday April 11, 2021, till Friday morning April 16, 2021, from 7:30 p.m. to four:30 a.m., nightly, for pavement marking amenities.
Junctions and street exits shall be closed concurrently, which incorporates the Dillingham Boulevard / Kamehameha Freeway slip street and the Nimitz Freeway exit (Exit 18).
Throughout closed hours, motorists touring westbound on the H-1 Freeway shall be diverted to the Center Avenue ramp (Exit 19A) and will proceed west on the Nimitz Freeway.
In sequence with the entire closure, three right-hand lanes shall be closed on the H-1 westbound freeway between the Keehi interchange and the airport ramp. Two left lanes will stay open all through this stretch and entry to the airport exit (exit 16) shall be accessible. Motorists can take the H-1 Westbound through the Nimitz / Sand Island Hwy over the slip street on the Keehi Interchange.

Motorists are suggested to plan forward and permit further journey time to get to their vacation spot. Digital bulletin boards shall be in place to tell motorists of the closure and the detour. First responders, emergency autos and TheBus have been notified and won’t be allowed to cross. All street works are topic to climate circumstances.
