Plaquemine ferry closed this coming weekend

BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Division of Transportation and Growth (DOTD) introduced Wednesday (Dec. 23) that the Plaquemine ferry will probably be out of service from Friday, Dec. 25 by means of Sunday, Dec. 27.

The closure is as a result of continued staffing shortages associated to COVID-19.

The ferry is scheduled to reopen on Monday, December 28, and can function on its present weekday break up schedule, which is four:30 am to 10:00 am and a couple of:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
