Sneads Ferry man dies after automotive crashed into him whereas using bike

A Sneads Ferry man was killed when a automotive bumped into him close to Shepard’s Storage Saturday night time.

North Carolina State Freeway Patrol stated Eddie Lejime Simmons, 72, was using his bike on the shoulder of Freeway 172 in Sneads Ferry round 9:50 p.m. when he turned left into the street and was struck by an oncoming automotive.

The motive force of the automotive, a 2013 Dodge, was 19-year-old Ryuichi Joseph Reynolds, of Sneads Ferry. NCSHP believes there was a primary automotive that drove previous Simmons earlier than Reynolds approached him and Simmons didn’t see Reynolds when he made the flip into the street. Simmons died on the scene of the crash.

NCSHP added there are not any costs pending for Reynolds as Simmons didn’t yield to the oncoming site visitors.
